For this FO Friday, I feel like it should be something slightly different, considering I've already finished this project once before?

a green and black reversible hat with cables, laying across and beside a black cat.

Yes, I finished it, but, it didn't fit.  The Fisherman's Rib was too loose, and my shorter Row Gauge meant that the hat body didn't fit either! (I actually finished it last week, but there was no FO Friday last week, given that it was Good Friday, so you're all reading about it now instead!)

So I did what I should have done in the first place.  Plain ribbing on *4 mm needles; hat body on *4.5 mm needles - exactly what the original pattern called for (and I wrote the original pattern, so I really have absolutely no excuse!)

Yarn is  still the *Cascade Yarns 220 in "Christmas Green" and "Black" -- I unravelled the hat and re-wound it.  And this time, the green didn't bleed at all!  I wonder if the washing and blocking I did of the previous iteration of this hat was enough to get the excess dye out of the yarn?  Regardless of why, I'll take that win.

 And this time?  It fits!

It's also, as you can see, kitty-approved. (Another important quality test, of course! 😂🐾) He seems to think that knitwear (and other human clothing) is for him to sleep on, so, he does make a very good test as to comfort!

I'm glad to have this hat off the needles and that I've been able to focus on other deadline knitting (like the striped commission sweater)  And if you've finished a thing, I'd love to see it too - share your finished objects in the Discord so we can all celebrate!
