Cherry Blossom Hat Test-Knit Call!

Well, I mentioned that the Cherry Blossom Hat was up for testing,  and oh look, here it is, now up on Yarnpond!

a person wearing a mesh lace crochet hat, worked in blue fingering-weight yarn.

Sample is shown in size S (there are two adult sizes, Adult Small and Large and used approximately 150 to 183 yards (137 to 167 meters) of fingering-weight yarn.  The sample is shown in The Blue Brick Killarney Sock in "Iceberg" but any fingering or sock yarn would work up well - I'd suggest a wool or wool blend, or fingering weight acrylic would also work well.  There is a second sample-in-progress, that will be in the final pattern, as well.

The hook I used was a 3.5 mm (US E) hook but you can use whatever hook size you need to get gauge.

I'm looking for 8 testers, across both sizes, to test both the charted and written instructions. I'm also specifically looking for testers to test the large-print/screen reader accessible version of this pattern! So if that's something you're willing/able to do, just make a note of that on your Yarnpond application, and I'll send you the link to the large print pattern.

To test, you will need to make a Yarnpond account (you do need to sign up if you haven't before, but, don't worry, it's free, all you need is an e-mail address!) From there, you can link your Instagram and Ravelry accounts, if you have either. And, for those who can't use Ravelry, please, don't worry, you don't have to have a Ravelry account to participate -- I just need somewhere I can see some examples of your work, so Instagram, or even a blog, is perfect!

Deadline for the test is April 8, 2022, and sadly, this test's deadline isn't really flexible, as I'm publishing with a third party for this pattern as well!  But, as always, testers who complete the test will receive the finished pattern for free, as well as two patterns of their choice from my self-published patterns.

If you want to be notified about future testing calls, I post testing calls here on the blog, and to my other social media platforms (Facebook, Patreon, Instagram and Twitter), and, I'll send out calls to those on my mailing list, as well, so hopefully, anyone who's interested will see my testing calls.

And if you know someone else who might be interested, please, as always feel free to share this post with them! I don't usually fill my pattern tests, so, the more testers the better!
