So, I've got a new Finished Object! This is the Cherry Blossom Hat! I've been sitting on this particular pattern for a bit now, but, I'm planning to have it released in April (if all goes according to plan), so, look for the test-crochet call very soon!
a person wearing a mesh lace crochet hat, worked in blue fingering-weight yarn.

Yarn is The Blue Brick Killarney Sock in "Iceberg"  with a new sample-in-progress being worked up in *WeCrochet Stroll Fingering in "Rhapsody" - so stay tuned on Twitch for that!

Hook for this was a 3.5 (US E) *Laurel Hill Crochet Hook, and I'm really enjoying these hooks! I was first introduced to them on the (now defunct), Yarn Thing Podcast, and recently got a chance to buy a couple and try them out -  and I'm glad I took the chance!  They're the thinner style of wooden hooks (which I prefer) and, they have the sizing written right on them, which is a huge bonus!

The  stitch pattern is a looser mesh, so this isn't a hat for the depths of winter.  But, as an extra layer under a hood, or just something light for a spring day, it works perfectly!

With the first sample already photographed, it should be quick getting this hat up for testing  -  so, stay tuned over on Yarnpond for the testing call!  Not on Yarnpond?  Don't worry, it's free to sign up, and is the first place you'll be notified about next testing calls for my designs (though you can also stay tuned to the blog for the testing announcement too).
