Someone working on a crochet lace hat with cluster stitches. The yarn is light blue sock yarn. A stitch marker with a silver dolphin charm is clipped into the work. The Cherry Blossom Hat Continues! I never did find the missing skein, so, I went ahead and ordered a replacement that arrived last week!
Yarn is *WeCrochet Stroll Fingering in "Rhapsody" - the first skein came my way as part of a yarn-support agreement with WeCrochet, and I re-ordered a second skein when the first went missing (at this point, I wonder if it escaped my bag while travelling, as this was my travel project).

Hook for this is my 3.5 (US E) Leither Co hook. I started this project with my *Laurel Hill Crochet Hook - but that sadly snapped while working on a different project! But for that project, I was working surface slip stitch in heavy worsted yarn with a very dense fabric, so I'm actually not surprised - I can snap 3.5 mm wooden dpns for socks, and bend 2 mm metal dpns, so I shouldn't be surprised I can snap wooden crochet hooks too? I'm a loose knitter who somehow keeps a death-grip on the needles, and it looks like the same holds true for crochet!

I still love my 4 mm Laurel Hill hook, and I will replace my 3.5 mm hook when I get a chance, but I've learned my lesson about being gentle with them, and maybe using metal hooks for smaller sizes, no matter how awesome the Laurel Hill hooks are.

My beginning/end of round marker is a locking *Dolphin Stitch Marker from *NotionsEmporium. I was originally worried that it might be a bit too heavy (as the charm on this one is a bit heavier then some of the others I have), but after doing a few inches, it's perfectly fine now.

I've got until this Friday to finish this, and get it finished and blocked (as the photo shoot for this is this Friday!) Wish me luck!
