Hello folks and, yeay for another FO Friday! These are the finally-finished Gradient Mittens -- after I'd made two right-hand mittens, I (finally) got around to making a left-hand mitten over on my Twitch stream!
They're knit on 2.25 mm double-pointed needles. 3 of the 4 needles are my *HiyaHiya double-pointed needles, but there's one needle that's different, and bought at a local yarn store, instead. Yes, I'm always scavenging to find small dpns -- I have a bad habit of leaving them in half-finished socks!

Yarn is two yarns held together, *Knit Picks Chroma Fingering in "Pegasus," and *Alpaca Cloud in "Midnight Heather (colour is now discontinued), Why are they held double? Because knitting the Alpaca Cloud on it's own would have been a challenge. My mistake when I bought the Alpaca Cloud was not in buying it, it was in buying it thinking I'd make a shawl out of it. Knitting Black (or almost-black) lace is generally a very difficult proposition. So, by stranding it with the Chroma Fingering, I created a soft, warm fabric, and dulled down some of the brighter colours of the "Pegasus" colourway.
The back of the hand has a small little faux-cable, and the palm has a slipped-stitch texture pattern -- I like adding texture to the palms of my mittens and gloves, even if that does mean I have to remember to mirror the pattern. It helps with friction and gripping objects, and seem to keep my hands a bit warmer, too!
So what have you folks finished on this snowy FO Friday? Post and show off in the comments!
