A partially finished textured knit glove. Two fingers are finished, and a third finger is tucked inside a fabric double-pointed needle case. The ends have not been woven in.
Welcome back to WIP Wed, . . . and the Christmas Gloves aren't quite done yet.  I mean, that does seem to be the way of gift-knitting, doesn't it?  It's very often belated!

I gave my gift-ee the first finished glove, only to find out that it didn't quite fit right at the hand.  So, I'll be finishing the second to my gift-ee's hand measurements, and then ripping back and re-doing the first glove.  I got a good bit finished at yesterdays Knit Night (every Tues night), and am hoping to get some more done today.

The gloves are mirrored, like many of my mitten/glove designs are.  And I almost knit two right-hand gloves, but, not quite, thank goodness!

Yarn is the now-discontinued Fleece Artist Merino 2/6 in "Spruce". It's 100% Merino, and it's knitting up quite nice and dense on *2mm (US 0) needles. I wish the pooling on the fingers had happened differently, but, hey, you can't have everything, right?

The *DPN Case is from *SewSandySew's Etsy Shop, and it's proving it's worth as I took these to knit night -- no more needles poking through my project bags!  Yeay!

Is anyone else still working on belated gifts?  Let me know in the comments and we can wish each other luck!
