Well, welcome back to WIP Wed!

Ok, so I know I said last WIP Wed that I'd be working on the Marianna Shawl. And I am. . . sort of.

I'm actually currently knitting along on my Siren Song Scarf. I started it in early 2018 as part of a knit-along. The pattern is the awesome (and adjustable) Siren Song, by Louise Zass-Bangham.

A knit lace scarf scrunched up on a circular needle and tucked into a yarn bowl. The scarf is knit in deep blue fingering yarn. There are a large variety of stitch markers hooked into the work. How is this related?  Well, the folks who have been watching on Twitch recently have heard this, so I'll summarize.  I put a whole bunch (and I mean a whole bunch) of stitch markers into my Siren Song.  Because I kept messing up the 8-stitch repeat.  So every 8 stitches, I put in a stitch marker.

However, this used basically every stitch marker I own.   And the Marianna Shawl has grown to the point of needing some additional stitch markers to mark the repeat -- I did spend one Twitch stream basically fixing my mistakes.  So now I need the stitch markers out of the Siren Song so I can continue working on the Marianna Shawl!

Yarn is *MadelineTosh Eyre Light in "Arctic", and I'm loving it! I've worked with it once before -- actually, I knit a sample of my Spiralling Star Mittens in it!  It's a soft yarn with a great feel. . . but it does shed.  When I was working with this at Knit Night, I got a chuckle for having a bit of blue 'fluff' on my nose!  It also is a 'sticky' yarn, so it has more of a tendency to tangle then some other yarns.  But the feel more then makes up for that!

Needles are my 4 mm Lykke interchangeable needles.  For the most part, I'm quite happy with the needles.  But, a) the interchangeable tips are a bit shorter then I'd personally like and b) the needles tend to unscrew over time!   I've found that I'm not the only knitter who reports that the needles unscrew -- apparently its something in my knitting style!  I re-tightened the needles on the cable just the other day, and so far, they haven't unscrewed again since.

And, as you can see from the picture, it really is "all the stitch markers that aren't in other projects".  They come from a variety of sellers, including *KnittersKnook , *Fibremancy, *EfficientSense's Etsy Store, and *WineMakersSister's Etsy Store,  plus some gifted stitch markers, and more!  My estimate is 30-plus stitch markers in this project -- the cable is actually a bit heavy!

So, I'll be glad to have this project done so that I can reclaim all my stitch markers and get back to working on the Marianna Shawl.  If I don't finish this today, I'll continue working on it on Twitch tomorrow.

And, with that, I think that's it for this week's WIP Wed, and thanks for reading along! I'm thrilled to be back and posting again!

And, as always, I'd love to see what you're working on -- please, feel free to post links to your projects in the comments, so I can see all the amazing things. Also, if you're working on one of my patterns, tag it as #sarahdawnsdesigns so I can find you on Social Media!
