Happy Halloween, everyone!

Am I wearing a costume?  No, not this year.  Sometimes I do, but not this year.  (That said, a bunch of us are getting together for a scary movie marathon, which sounds like fun!)

So, no Halloween themed post from me this year.  Sorry folks!

Anyway, I figured I'd show you folks progress on the Vertical Lines Hat! I've been working on it off and on in my Twitch Stream, and I'm about half-way through the pattern repeat!  The chart is 48 rows, and it's looking like I might only need the one repeat of the chart to get me to the point where I can begin the crown decreases.

A knit hat with live stitches on double-pointed needles, knit in a cable and lace pattern. The needles have elastics on the end. The yarn is a pale blue fingering-weight yarn.
Needles are my 3.25 Aero double-pointed needles. These are inherited needles from my mother,  They're duller tips then some of my other needles,  but that could be from years and years of use! They're a bit slippery, especially with the silk-blend yarn, hence the elastics that are wrapped around the needles!  With my next "big payday" I plan to get a couple of these *Point Protectors/Stoppers from Knit Picks,  They will be easier then pulling off the elastics each time I get to the end of the needle, I hope!

Yarn is *Northbound Knitting Merino/Silk Fingering, in "Ethereal", and I love this yarn!  The only challenge is a challenge from user-error -- when I wound this on my ball winder, the yarn must have slipped.  So I keep getting minor yarn barfs as I work, ugh!  But that's the fault of me and the ball winder, not the yarn!

The stitch markers are my usual *silver rose stitch markers from *Efficient Sense's Etsy Store. I got ten of these markers, so I use them in a lot of places!

Well, that's it for this week's WIP Wed!  If you'd like to see me knit (or attempt to knit) the Vertical Lines Hat, it's currently what I'm working on over on my Twitch Stream! (I also stream my pattern design process, as well!)   And, I'd love to see what you're working on -- please, feel free to post links to your projects in the comments, so I can see all the amazing things.  And, if you're working on one of my patterns, tag it as #sarahdawnsdesigns so I can find it on Social Media!
