Alright so January is for the crocheters this year, with the Cherry Blossom Hat being the January Crochet-Along! Having hosted a bunch of knitting patterns, I figured it was time for for a crochet pattern to start out the new year.

This hat was inspired by the cherry blossoms blooming in spring. The air is still cool, and sometimes, there’s even still a touch of snow! This hat is designed to be a spring/fall hat, however, I've also found it perfect for layering under a winter hood. It's great for those half-skein of leftover sock yarn, indeed, you can get two hats (depending on size) from one standard (400 yard) skein of sock/fingering yarn!
Both samples are shown in size small - the first sample is worked in *WeCrochet's Stroll Fingering in "Rhapsody" The second sample is worked in The Blue Brick's Killarney Sock in "Iceberg".
The pattern is both charted and written, with a screen-reader compatible large-print version that has written instructions only. It's written using US terminology.
Now, onto the important part, the Crochet-Along Details!
For the month of January, every finished hat has a chance to win a $25 USD Gift Card from Knit Picks, or, a $30 CAD Gift Card from The Knitting Loft! This choice is due to the Canada/US tariff situation; when I contact the winner, I'll ask them which shop they would prefer.
