Well, I didn't intend to continue the Diamond Lace theme of the Knit-Alongs, but, I did, and I'm perfectly ok with this! So The Diamond Lace Boot Toppers are the December Knit-Along, to (accidentally!) continue the theme!
Don't have the pattern? That's not a problem, the Diamond Lace Boot Toppers pattern is 50% off for the Knit-Along, right through the month of November. You can get the pattern in my Web Shop, Etsy, Ravelry, and Patreon. And patrons already have access to the pattern, you can download it in the Patreon Shop!

These boot toppers can be mostly attributed to curiosity. Before I got into knitting as an adult, I’d never even heard of such a thing! But, once I got into the online knitting community, I quickly found out that boot toppers are “a thing”, and a thing I wanted to try out in a Canadian Winter!
Throw in some inspiration from the good folks over on Patreon, a couple of hours of knitting time, and you have a pair of Diamond Lace Boot Toppers!
They come in four different adult sizes, and they’re knit in worsted-weight yarn, so they knit up very quickly, Any wool or wool-blend worsted-weight yarn will work up well for these, though I suggest a solid or a tonal, rather then a highly variegated yarn. Sample is done in Spun Right Round Merino Worsted, which is sadly discontinued. When looking for a substitute, I'd suggest *Cascade 200 Superwash Worsted or a similar multi-ply worsted wool yarn (acrylic also works up well!)
Now, onto the important part, the Knit-Along Details!
For the month of December, every finished pair of boot toppers has a chance to win a $25 USD Gift Card from Knit Picks, or, a $30 CAD Gift Card from The Knitting Loft! This choice is due to the Canada/US tariff situation; when I contact the winner, I'll ask them which shop they would prefer.
Please note that the Knit Picks gift card is, unfortunately, only available if you are in the US or Canada.
And, a reminder: I am no longer taking entries here on the blog, as
there have been issues with comments not coming through properly, and
people not getting notified of replies. I love seeing your projects in
the comments, but, sadly, they don't count as KAL entries.
You can enter the KAL by posting on Facebook, Instagram, and, Discord (for a non-Meta option!) giving 3 chances to win in total!
I always look forward to seeing your Finished Objects! Please post them to various social media with #SarahDawnsDesigns, and #SarahDawnsDesignsDec2025 and/or share them to the Facebook Group or to the Discord! That way, I can see the awesome that you folks make!
**One
entry per person for each project per platform (three possible entries
total for each completed project). One Winner will be drawn at random
using random number generation. Prize will be distributed by e-mail,
Participants may enter the same project on more then one platform, but
