Alright, time for a rarer-then-I would like FO Friday post:  I finished the Palomar Top!  I've been knitting this up for the folks over at KNITMuch, and, it's done (just in time for the summer heat, too!)

The pattern is the (free) Palomar Top from Universal Yarns.  I would never have found it if it wasn't for the folks at KNITMuch pointing me in this direction, and, I love it!  The only thing I'm not sure about is the I-cord ties at the side seam, but, I've had several other people tell me they think it's the coolest thing about the pattern, so, maybe that's just me?

Yarn is Universal Yarns Bella Tweed in "Care", kindly given to me by KNITMuch, since I'm working up this project for their blog, as well!  It's a recycled cotton blend, so it's a teeny bit rough on the hands while working it, but, nowhere near as bad as linen can get, and I absolutely adore the colour!

Needles are 3.75 mm *Knit Picks Rainbow Wooden Straight Needles, (also originally sent to me thanks to KNITMuch!).  The pattern actually calls for 3.75 and 4 mm needles, but, my tension was too big using the 4 mm needles, so I just stuck with the 3.75 mm needles for the entire thing.  It means the ribbing flares a teeny bit (especially at the armhole edging, but, I kind of like that - it's grown on me!

I was originally worrying a bit about the cables, since the shaping of the neckline and the cables happens concurrently (with the dreaded 'at the same time' instruction), but, it wasn't too bad!  If you look really closely, you might be able to tell that I messed up the neckline decreases a teeny bit for one section, but, honestly, I've asked, and only one person has noticed, so I figure I'm good!

The detailed saga of knitting this will also be posted up over on the KNITMuch blog quite soon, (complete with Cable Tutorial Videos!), so, stay tuned over there, as well for all the adventures in knitting this up!
