It's March, and yep, that means a new Knit-Along!  This month, the Statement Cable Scarf is the Knit-Along pattern - and if you don't have the pattern, don't worry, it's 50% off until the end of March!  This bulky-weight knit scarf is perfect to keep the March rains and chill away, plus, it only uses two skeins of bulky yarn, so it knits up quick!

The scarf is worked flat with bulky yarn, making it a perfect project for a beginner who wants to branch into cables! It uses mostly garter stitch, with a cable pattern on a background of reverse stocking stitch. The cable instructions are both charted and written.

The sample was knit in the gloriously squishy *Malabrigo Mecha (Malabrigo Yarns was kind enough to support this pattern through the Malabrigo Quickies Program!)  Because of this, it uses almost exactly two skeins of Malabrigo Mecha, but, you could easily adjust it to whatever amount of yarn you're using.

This pattern has both charted and written instructions, as well as an accessible large print option that is compatible with screen-reading software. This option includes only the written instruction.

You can buy the pattern through Etsy,  in my Web Shop, in my Patreon Shop, or, on Ravelry.  The discount is available on all platforms for the month of March!  And if you're a Patron, you can download the pattern for free from the Patreon Shop as well!

 Now, onto the Knit-Along Details!

For the month of March, every finished scarf has a chance to win a $25 USD Gift Card from Knit Picks, or, new this month, a $30 CAD Gift Card from The Knitting Loft!  This new choice is due to the Canada/US tariff situation; when I contact the winner, I'll ask them which shop they would prefer.

If you're outside Canada or the US, sadly, I can't do gift certificates, but, you can, instead win 4 patterns of your choice from my Web Shop!

Please note, that, sadly, I am no longer taking entries here on the blog, as there have been issues with comments not coming through properly, and people not getting notified of replies.

You can enter the KAL by posting on Facebook, Instagram, and, Discord (for a non-Meta option!) giving 3 chances to win in total!

I always look forward to seeing your Finished Objects! Please post them to various social media with #SarahDawnsDesigns, and #SarahDawnsDesignsMar2025 and/or share them to the Facebook Group or to the Discord! That way, I can see the awesome that you folks make!

**One entry per person for each project per platform (three possible entries total for each completed project). One Winner will be drawn at random using random number generation. Prize will be distributed by e-mail, Participants may enter the same project on more then one platform, but may only enter each project once per platform.
