So I'm on an (unintentional!) roll with the pattern release this month, and the Mosaic Hat is now available on Ravelry, in my Web Shop, on Etsy, and as a download for the Pattern Muses on Patreon!

This two-colour beret-style hat is perfect for those partial skeins of sock yarn where there’s not enough left to make a sock but still enough for a project

It’s designed to be the perfect weight for a lightweight spring hat, and the Mosaic Knitting technique means that it’s an easy knit without the fear of taming colourwork floats!

This hat comes in 3 sizes (Adult Small, Medium, and Large), with a full head circumference of 24 to 29 inches, though, if that sounds too big, please don't panic, as the brim of the hat pulls in quite a bit!

Sample is knit in Stitch Please's Amethyst Label, now sadly, discontinued.  Pretty much any sock or fingering-weight yarn would work up well here, though I wouldn't recommend anything with a lot of fuzz, since that would obscure the colourwork.  My yarn suggestions include: *Sweet Georgia Yarns Tough Love Sock, *Knit Picks Twill Fingering, or *Malabrigo Ultimate Sock.

It uses a 4mm (US 6) *circular needle with a 16 or 24 inch (40.5 or 61 cm) cord - just as long as your cord is long enough for the hat, you're good!  You -might- be able to eek this out on a set of 5 *double pointed needles, but, especially on the larger sizes, I wouldn't recommend it.  That said, you could absolutely use *double pointed needles for the decreases at the crown of the hat, if you prefer!

The Mosaic Hat pattern has both written and charted instructions for the Mosaic Stitch pattern, and also has a large print version that's compatible with screen-reading technology that's included as a secondary download. No hiding accessibility features behind a paywall here!

And remember, as always, I love seeing what you make, or even what yarn you're considering! So please, tag your creations on Social Media with #SarahDawnsDesigns, (or share them in the Discord) so we can all see your awesome things!

If you've got feedback, comments, or questions about the pattern, you can comment here, or send me an e-mail, I'm happy to hear from you!
