Yeay for a new Finished Object - something I've been knitting for KNITMuch! Though I might be neglecting my WIP Wed posts, I have, in fact, been knitting on All The Things, including, this now-finished Gallinule Hat. You'll see more of this hat-knitting saga over on the KNITMuch blog in the coming weeks!

While I absolutely love the colours - I'm honestly not sure if this hat suits me.  And, if I were to knit it again, I'd lengthen it be at least a few inches, so as to have a brim that I can flip up over my ears.  But, it's a super easy, super simple (free) pattern, and, if you're new to the world of knit hats, then I'd absolutely say 'Go for it!'

And speaking of colours - yarn is Fibra Natura Cobblestone in the colourway "Mallard", and I 1000% see how this colourway got it's name!  I love it, and it's absolutely gorgeous!  Plus, one ball is 612 yards (600 metres) so, you have enough yarn for several hats in one ball!  I already have plans for the remaining yarn that KNITMuch was kind enough to send me, because one hat didn't even make a dent!

I worked this on a set of *Rainbow Wood Knit Picks Double Pointed Needles, also gifted to me by KNITMuch for this project - I specifically asked for, and was kindly given, the *8-inch long DPNS, so that I knew I'd have enough length on each needle for all the stitches of the hat!

Despite me being not quite sure if this hat is the best style for me, I'm still really quite happy with the finished object.  I'm not 100% sure how much wear it's going to get, but I'm still not over the pretty, pretty colours, and I think it will work well for the intermediate weather before it gets into proper winter and snow.

That said, I'm also now continuing the Great Quest to clear some old WIP's off the needles, (and have yarn incoming for one new project, as well!)  So, if you've got any new Finished Objects, I'd love to see them - if nothing else, for selfish motivation!  Feel free to post them in the Finished-Objects thread of the Discord!
