Welcome back to another test-knitting call;  right now, I'm looking for testers for the Mosaic Knit Hat pattern!

This two-colour beret-style hat is perfect for those partial skeins of sock yarn where there's not enough left to make a sock but still enough for a project!

It's designed to be the perfect weight for a lightweight spring hat, and the Mosaic Knitting technique means that it's an easy knit without the fear of taming colourwork floats!

The Mosaic Hat patterns comes in 3 sizes, Adult Small, Medium, and Large, with a Brim Circumference of 17 (18, 19) inches, 43 (45.5, 48.5) cm, and a full hat Circumference of 24 (26.5, 29) inches, 61 (66, 71) cm.  It's designed to be worn with approximately 4 inches (10 cm) of negative ease at the brim.

Sample is shown in Stitch Please's Amethyst Label, a high-twist merino yarn that's since, sadly, been discontinued.  For yarn substitutions, I'd suggest any fingering-weight wool or wool blend yarn, fingering-weight acrylic should also work well, including *Sweet Georgia Yarns Tough Love Sock, or *Malabrigo Ultimate Sock.

I'm looking for 12 testers for this bag - 4 in each size.  I'm also specifically looking for testers to test the large-print/screen reader accessible version of this pattern! So if that's something you're willing/able to do, just make a note of that on your Yarnpond application, and I'll send you the link to the large print pattern.

To test, you will need to make a Yarnpond account (you do need to sign up if you haven't before, but, don't worry, it's free, all you need is an e-mail address!) From there, you can link your Instagram and Ravelry accounts, if you have either.

And, for those who can't use Ravelry, please, don't worry, you don't have to have a Ravelry account to participate - if you're a new tester, I just need somewhere I can see some examples of your work, so Instagram, or even a blog, is perfect!

Deadline for the test is December 31, 2024,  and as usual, my testing dates can usually be extended if there's a need (especially as that falls around major holidays!) so don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you're going to have trouble meeting the deadline.  And, as always, testers who complete the test will receive the finished pattern for free, as well as two patterns of their choice from my self-published patterns.

If you want to be notified about future testing calls, the best place to be is in my testing group over on Yarnpond!  Folks there will get notified automatically when I post a new test (and there's no requirement to test anything - test only what  you want to test!)  I also post testing calls here on the blog, and to my other social media platforms (FacebookPatreonInstagram, Tumblr, and a  Discord Server!), as well as sending out calls to those on my mailing list, as well, so hopefully, anyone who's interested won't miss a testing call!

And if you know someone else who might be interested, please, as always feel free to share this post with them! I don't usually fill my pattern tests, so, the more testers the better!

P.S.  Want to help name this pattern something more exciting then "Mosaic Knit Hat"? I've got that exact call out to Patrons!
