Hello, and welcome back, once again to WIP Wednesday; and today, we're through the heel and onto the foot of the Impossible Geometry Socks!  I spent the day working at a friend's place, and its amazing how much knitting you can get done when you're working socially with someone!  (Also, my big sample project for a magazine is done, so I can focus on these again now!)

a sock on a set of circular needles. The sock is knit in deep teal fingering-weight yarn, and has a number of small cables across the instep. A stitch marker with a silver shell charm is clipped into the work.
The yarn is *Malabrigo Ultimate Sock in "Teal Feather", kindly given to me by Malabrigo Yarns as part of the Malabrigo Quickies program.  And the sock is turning out really, really well in this yarn, I love the bit of stretch the Merino gives the stitch pattern the stitch pattern on its own has very little stretch, because of all the small cables.

Needles are my *Knit Picks Nickle-plated 2.25 mm circulars.  I think I might have preferred DPNs for this particular section, because having to rearrainge the stitches from sole to instep every couple of rounds is a bit of a pain (on some rounds, the cables 'steal' a stitch from the sole), but, the tradeoff is that these are my travel project right now, and I'd much rather have a pair of circulars then DPNs for my travel project.  Much, much less risk of losing a needle!

Stitch marker is the  *Ocean Shell Stitch Marker from *WineMakersSister's Etsy Shop.  It's perfect for this sort of work, because it's big enough to go over the 2.25 mm needle with no problems, but small enough not to be bulky and get in the way.

I hope you, too, are seeing some progress on your crafting this WIP Wednesday.  If you are, feel free to show it off in the comments, or, on the Discord! (And if you're not and wish to commiserate, that's fine too!)
