Well, it's February, and it's -cold- here in Southern Ontario (the weather was -22 C with the wind this morning!), so it's definitely the time to be knitting all the warm woolly things. And the Crisial Cowl is perfect for these cold winter mornings - it's knit in heavy worsted wool; it's a quick knit, and it can be tweaked to the amount of yarn you have on hand!

Don't have the pattern?  Its' 50% off for the month of February as it's the February Featured Pattern!

The Crisial (Welsh for “crystal”) Cowl was inspired by the geometric shapes of crystals. It uses a simple two-stitch cable to create twists that make for a classic textural piece you’ll want to wear all season long. Both aran and heavy worsted weight yarn would work well with this project.

It is knit in the round from the bottom up. and done in a simple cable motif.

Note that gauge and yarn weight are both flexible for this pattern, though it will change the appearance and/or size of the finished object, as well, as the amount of yarn required.

This pattern has written instructions, and the stitch pattern is both written and charted. This pattern also has an accessible large print option that is compatible with screen-reading software. This option includes only the written instruction.

Sample was knit in *Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Superwash Bulky (100% Superwash Wool) in "Fjord Heather"

    1. Oh, that's very, very odd, as it didn't show up as a comment - I'm -so- sorry it didn't post properly!

If that ever happens again, and you don't see the comment up in 24 hours, absolutely do what you did and let me know (either by comment or by e-mail!)
