Welcome back to WIP Wednesday! And there's been actually quite a bit of progress on the commissioned legwarmers from the Necessity of Innovation Legwarmers pattern.

I'm actually modifying the pattern for better fit - I will (eventually) use this as a prototype to update the pattern for better fit, especially for the larger sizes.  (And, don't worry, if you've already bought the pattern, I'll make sure you get the update when it comes out!)

lace knitting with fingering-weight yarn done on a straight needle. The yarn is a gradient blue-green-yellow, with orange just appearing on the needle.

Yarn is *Knit Picks Stroll Gradient in "FOMO", which is a discontinued sale colourway at the time of this writing. It's really neon - the yarn description actually compares it to "a pack of highlighters" and that's pretty accurate to the colour!

Needles are some inherited Aero straight needles that still have the UK sizing on them!  So far, I'm happy with the tension that I'm getting (aiming a touch under written tension because SuperWash yarn grows when washed).

Stitch markers my *Sea Glass Stitch Markers from *WineMakersSister's Etsy shop.   They're marking the side of the repeat and help me guide where the increases in pattern go.  They're great for working with yarn-overs, as sometimes, stitch markers slide under yarn-overs; but these once are big enough that that's not nearly as much of an issue.

I was originally worried that I would be playing yarn chicken, but it looks like I'll be good. I've got a second skein (one for each legwarmer); and that should give me more than enough yarn.

Anyway, what are you working on today?  Let me know in the comments, or post it in the Works In Progress channel on Discord!
