I mentioned last blog post that I had a new sample-in-progress for the Cherry Blossom Hat, and here's the foundation chain start!
someone holding a few rounds of single crochet in the round. They're working with a wooden crochet hook, and a stitch marker with a dolphin charm is clipped into the work.
Yarn  is *WeCrochet Stroll Fingering in "Rhapsody" - which came my way as part of a yarn-support agreement with WeCrochet!  I did have an issue with tangling when I tried to work from the centre of the skein, but I think that was just a major yarn-barf fail.  I had serious trouble finding the inside end of this skein and I think that might have been user-error rather then any fault of the yarn.

I'm finding the Stroll Yarn wonderful to work with, quite soft, though, I do find that when it does get tangled it has a nasty habit of sticking to itself.  But otherwise, quite enjoying it!

Hook for this is my 3.5 (US E) *Laurel Hill Crochet Hook.  I'm -really- loving the style of these hooks - I much prefer the thinner wooden hooks (metal once tend to make my hands cramp up), and I love that they're made from reclaimed wood!

And my beginning/end of round marker is a locking *Dolphin Stitch Marker from *NotionsEmporium.  Here's your reminder that if you're working in crochet, you -need- to have a locking stitch marker, the ring stitch markers you use in knitting will not work (you'll just end up crocheting them into the work!)

I'll be working on this live over on Twitch (when I'm not making hexipuffs, haha!) and you can catch me live on Twitch and ask any questions you might have!
