I mentioned that the Bricks Socks were going to be up for testing soon and, well,  here they are! Under the working title of "Brickworks Socks"  (Pssst, Patrons still have a say if you've got a better idea for a pattern name!) the test for these socks is now live on Yarnpond

a sock knit in grey yarn with a knit and purl basket weave pattern on the leg and top of foot
Sample is shown in size S.  There are two adult sizes, Adult Small and Large with a leg Circumference: 7 (8.5) inches, (18, 21.5 cm); and the pattern uses 308 (370) yards / 281 (338) meters,

Sample was worked in *West Yorkshire Spinners 4-Ply in "Dusty Miller"  (as chosen over on Patreon!), but any wool or wool/nylon sock yarn blend would work well, as would a cotton sock yarn so long as there is some elastic blended into the yarn so it has some stretch.

Needles were 2.25 mm (US 1) double-pointed needles, but, you could easily work this pattern on Magic Loop or with two circulars - it's specifically written to be 'needle agnostic', meaning you can use any circular knitting method you would like to make these socks!

I'm looking for 8 testers, across both sizes, to test both sizes. I'm also specifically looking for testers to test the large-print/screen reader accessible version of this pattern! So if that's something you're willing/able to do, just make a note of that on your Yarnpond application, and I'll send you the link to the large print pattern.  Please note, that you only have to finish one sock for the test, as left and right socks are identical.

To test, you will need to make a Yarnpond account (you do need to sign up if you haven't before, but, don't worry, it's free, all you need is an e-mail address!) From there, you can link your Instagram and Ravelry accounts, if you have either. And, for those who can't use Ravelry, please, don't worry, you don't have to have a Ravelry account to participate -- I just need somewhere I can see some examples of your work, so Instagram, or even a blog, is perfect!

Deadline for the test is April 30, 2022, and yes, this is a flexible deadline if, need be!  But, as always, testers who complete the test will receive the finished pattern for free, as well as two patterns of their choice from my self-published patterns.

If you want to be notified about future testing calls, I post testing calls here on the blog, and to my other social media platforms (FacebookPatreonInstagram and Twitter), and, I'll send out calls to those on my mailing list, as well, so hopefully, anyone who's interested will see my testing calls.

And if you know someone else who might be interested, please, as always feel free to share this post with them! I don't usually fill my pattern tests, so, the more testers the better!
