We're into January (when did -that- happen?) and, although the winter is mild here right now, I've definitely been needing a scarf while being out and about on Christmas walks. And the MacAskill scarf fits the bill!
It's available at 50% off (currently $3.00 CAD, regular price, $6.00 CAD)! Use the code JanFeatPatt2022 after clicking the button below!Striding through the damp and windy winter moors, even the largest Scotsman in recorded history, “Black Angus” MacAskill, would have welcomed this giant scarf. Big enough to reach your ears while wrapped around your neck, deep enough to make a hood thrown over your head, and bulky enough to keep you warm no matter how you wear it.
That about sums up this scarf. Huge, squishy and warm; it definitely does it's job in protecting you from the cold! I can and will happily attest it holds up to previous Canadian Polar Vortexes - it hasn't been to put to a true test this winter, (yet).
Sample is done in *Wool of the Andes Superwash Bulky in "Fjord Heather". If looking to substitute yarn, any aran/bulky weight wool will substitute well, or, you can knit with sport or dk-weight held double.
This pattern has written instructions, and the stitch pattern is both written and charted. This pattern also has an accessible large print option that is compatible with screen-reading software. This option includes only the written instruction.
You can buy the pattern through Etsy, or in my Web Shop, the discount is available on both platforms. The discount should be be visible on Etsy, To get the discount on my web shop, you can use the coupon code "JanFeatPatt2022"
