Well, the colder weather is here, and it looks like it's staying for a bit!  As winter arrives properly, stay nice and warm with the Snowdrop Cowl! (Also, it's a quick knit in bulky yarn, perfect for any last-minute gift-knitting!  The Snowdrop Cowl Featured Pattern for December, available 50% off (currently $3.00 CAD, regular price, $6.00 CAD)!

This cowl was created as part of the Initiate Knit Design Challenge, hosted by Francoise Danoy of Aroha Knits. The goal of the challenge was to help people get their design ideas off the ground, and this super-bulky lace and cable cowl was the result!

The cowl is worked in the round, with garter stitch edging and the Snowdrop Cable and Lace Pattern forming the body of the cowl.

The yarn used in the pattern is *Blue Sky Fibers Bulky, shown in "Frost" ,which is 50% alpaca, 50% wool. It is classified as a super-bulky, so for substitution purposes, you’ll want to double most yarns if you want to knit this in anything below a bulky-weight. Also, if you’re substituting yarns, I’d suggest a yarn with at least 50% wool content.

The cable stitch pattern is both written and charted. This pattern also has an accessible large print option that is compatible with screen-reading software. This option includes the written instruction.

You can buy the pattern through Etsy, or Payhip, the discount is available on both platforms. The discount should be be visible on Etsy, To get the discount on Payhip, you can use the coupon code "DecFeatPatt2020"

    1. Oh, it came through ok, but I have comments set to moderation (otherwise the spammers go to town /sigh/). Sometimes stuff gets held until I can review it. But you're good, and it looks so cute and cozy!
