Well, the Woodland Mittens are the Featured Pattern for October, available 50% off (currently $3.00 CAD, regular price, $6.00 CAD)  They're a DK-weight pair of mittens, themed after the knots in tree trunks, to keep your hands warm this coming Winter!

The original inspiration for Woodland Mittens was the Woodland Hat, also based on the same  woodland theme. This stitch pattern brought to my mind the image of moss in the knots of trees, with it’s double-moss stitch enclosed within the cable sections, and the Woodland Mittens were born as well!

The mittens are mirrored, with a different left-hand and right-hand mitten. Each mitten has a cable pattern on the back of the hand and a slipped-stitch textured palm. The extra yarn on the palm helps keep the hand warm and provides an additional layer against friction and wear (as well as providing help in making snowballs!)

This pattern has written instructions, and the stitch pattern is both written and charted.

You can buy the pattern through Etsy, or Payhip, the discount is available on both platforms. The discount should be be visible on Etsy, To get the discount on Payhip, you can use the coupon code "OctFeatPatt2020"
