These boot toppers can be mostly attributed to curiosity. Before I got into knitting as an adult, I’d never even heard of such a thing! But, thanks to the amazing pattern database that is Ravelry, I quickly found out that boot toppers are “a thing”, and a thing I wanted to try out in a Canadian Winter!

Throw in some inspiration from the Pattern Muses over on Patreon, a couple of hours of knitting time, and you have a pair of Diamond Lace Boot Toppers!

They’re knit in worsted-weight yarn, so they knit up very quickly, Any wool or wool-blend worsted-weight yarn will work up well for these, though I suggest a solid or a tonal, rather then a highly variegated yarn.

They're sized Adult Small to XL,  at 10 (11.5, 13, 14.5) inches, (25.5, 29, 33, 37 cm) around.  Done on 3.25mm (US 3) double pointed needles (though you could also use Magic Loop, the pattern's written for any circular knitting technique), the sample knit up quite well in *Spun Right Round's Superwash Merino Worsted.

The patter is both written and charted, and, there is a large-print version available as well, that is also compatible with screen-reading technology! This pattern has been both tested and tech edited.

Thanks for your patience with the new pattern release schedule, and, as always, I look forward to seeing what you make! So please, tag your creations on Social Media with #SarahDawnsDesigns, so I can find your awesome things!

If you've got feedback, comments, or questions about the pattern, you can comment here, post to the Ravelry Pattern thread, send me a PM on Ravelry, or e-mail me at sarahdawnsdesigns@gmail.com.

I hope you enjoy, and happy crafting!
