Welcome back to WIP Wed! And this week's WIP Wed project starts with a failure -- I did, in fact, fail at Yarn Chicken on the previous attempt at the Diamond Boot Toppers.  I got one and a half toppers done, and just didn't have enough yarn to continue.   I pulled out a different skein of yarn -- now I'm working in *Spun Right Round's Superwash Worsted in "The Water's Fine," and I know I'll have enough for these!

someone holding ribbing in the round on double-pointed needles. It's knit with teal coloured worsted-weight yarn, the yarn is speckled with many other colours. A silver shell stitch marker is clipped into the work.
I was originally skeptical of the speckles, but, they're growing on me quite quickly!

Needles still are my 3.25 mm old Aero needles.  These are honestly workhorse needles, which, they should be,  considering I think they're older then I am!

I know there's not much here yet, but stay tuned, these should knit up pretty quickly! And as always, names for these patterns are always appreciated -- Patrons can suggest names over on Patreon!

And, the pretty little *Shell Stitch Marker is from *WineMakersSister's Etsy Shop -- I love the fact that it's a lobster claw, so I can clip it into the work.  Makes it wonderful for working with dpns!

So what are you folks working on today?  It's gotten cold enough for me to pull out the knitwear today -- soon I'll be very grateful for my various knits!  What knitting or crocheting are you getting excited about?
