Well, welcome back to WIP Wed! This week, I've gone back to the Symbol Gloves (while I try and hunt down yarn for the Marianna Shawl, since I did, in fact, fail at Yarn Chicken.

I'm working along on the thumb gusset for the second glove. .  but, I will have to double back.

See, these are a gift for my photographer.  She knows she's getting them, and asked me to make them.  But, I'd forgotten that she'd asked that they be fingerless gloves -- that is, that the top of the glove separate into fingers.  So, I'll have to undo the cast off on the other glove and go back and give it fingers.   Whoops!  (I also still have to do the thumb on the other glove, as well!)
A double-knit glove live on double-pointed needles Yarn is brown, with a dragon motif around the cuff knit in green. Two stitch markers with charms that read "Faith" are clipped into the work, and a stitch marker with a silver feather charm is at the side of the work.

I'd originally hoped to have them done for Christmas. .  yeah, that didn't happen.  But I'm ok with that and so is my Photographer.

Anyway, yarn for these is *Northbound Knitting Superwash Merino/Nylon Fingering, in "Littoria" and "Espresso". It's a merino/nylon sock yarn blend, and it's quite good and solid.  I'm really happy with the fabric that's it's creating! Needles are my *HiyaHiya 2mm dpns. and I'm glad I chose these needles.  The sharper tips are really helpful, especially for the m1p (make 1 purl) stitch on the thumb gusset.

Stitch markers are more from *EfficientSense's Etsy Store -- the *Silver Feather stitch marker is my beginning/end of round marker, while the *"Faith" stitch markers are for the thumb gusset.   Both are technically 'crochet' stitch markers, meaning that they're lobster claws, so I can clip them over small needles, or I can clip them right into the work -- I love the versatility!

Well, that's it for this week's update!  As always, I'd love to see what you're working on this Wed (well, really, whenever you see this blog post!) so, please, feel free to post links to your projects in the comments, so I can see all the amazing things. Also, if you're working on one of my patterns, tag it as #sarahdawnsdesigns so I can find you on Social Media!

Until next week, and Happy Crafting!
