So, for the month of December, the Woodland Mittens Pattern is now 50% off at $2.75 CAD. (Regular Price, $5.50 CAD). They're a wonderful mitten pattern for the cold days of December -- plus, these mittens knit up fast, so if you need a last minute gift for an unexpected holiday guest, these mittens would definitely do!
These mittens are knit from the cuff up using DK-weight yarn, and can be knit on dpns or magic loop, or any other method you prefer. They are mirrored mittens, with a different left-hand and right-hand. Each mitten has a cable pattern on the back of the hand and a slipped-stitch textured palm. The extra yarn on the palm helps keep the hand warm and provides an additional layer against friction and wear (as well as providing help in making snowballs!
Sample was knit in Baa Ram Ewe (100% British Wool). Sadly, this yarn is now discontinued. At the time of this post, there are a few remaining skeins available at the WEBS Online store, but otherwise it will be harder to find. That said, any DK weight yarn with a high wool content would work well for these!
The pattern has been test-knit and tech-edited, and is both charted and written.
You can buy the pattern through Ravelry or Etsy, the discount is available on both platforms. The discount should be applied automatically on Ravelry, and be visible on Etsy. As always, let me know if something doesn't work!
Now, onto the Mini-KAL!
