Well, welcome back to WIP Wed!  This week, I've been doing lots of knitting on the Symbol Gloves - I finished the Vertical Lines hat, and you can look for the FO Friday post on that coming soon, I hope!

And look, I finished the thumb gusset of the Symbol Gloves!

I ended up re-writing the pattern as I worked, the thumb gusset held out, but then I had to make some changes to my notes to make sure that the symbols lined up on the back of the Right Hand/Left Hand.  So far, so good!

They're a bit big on my hand, but that means they should fit my gift-ee perfectly.
Someone wearing a partly-finished fingerless glove. The glove is brown with a green motif around the wrist. Underneath their hand is a wooden yarn bowl with the balls of yarn inside.

Yarn for these is  *Northbound Knitting Superwash Merino/Nylon Fingering, in "Littoria" and "Espresso". For a sock yarn, it's not super-soft, but it's tough, which is what I want for a pair of fingerless mittens!

Needles are my *HiyaHiya 2mm dpns.  I love the sharper tip of the HiyaHiyas, especially for the m1p stitch that I had to do for the thumb gusset

The Yarn bowl is from *Natural Knot Wood, and I've been singing the praises of it since I got it. Sadly, Wayne of Natural Knot Wood passed away in July, so the shop will only remain open long enough to deplete the remaining stock. His signature is burned into the bottom of the bowl, and it still gives me a funny feeling when I see it, to think that the person who made this is no longer here on this earth.  But, it also makes me appreciate the yarn bowl even more!

The silver feather stitch marker is another awesome find from *EfficientSense's Etsy Store.  Again, I love the fact that it's a locking stitch marker, so I can put it anywhere in my knitting!

Well, that's it for this week's WIP Wed, and thanks for reading along!  I'm happy to have come back to an older project, and I'm hoping to get some more work on these done soon.

And, I'd love to see what you're working on -- please, feel free to post links to your projects in the comments, so I can see all the amazing things. Also, if you're working on one of my patterns, tag it as #sarahdawnsdesigns so I can find you on Social Media!
