Well, welcome back to WIP Wed! This week, I've still been doing lots of knitting on the Symbol Gloves - and I finished a glove!

A fingerless glove knit in brown yarn, with a small dragon motif done in green yarn. The stitches for the thumb of the glove are on scrap yarn. The yarn balls and glove are set inside a wooden yarn bowl.
I've also cast on for the next glove (I was going to do the thumb, but I changed my mind), and now that I'm getting back into the hang of double-knit ribbing, I'm hoping to have these done sometime in December, even better if I can finish them before things get super-busy with Christmas stuff!

Yarn for these is *Northbound Knitting Superwash Merino/Nylon Fingering, in "Littoria" and "Espresso". For a sock yarn, it's not super-soft, but it's tough, which is what I want for a pair of fingerless mittens!  And it's creating a wonderful fabric for the mittens!

Needles are my *HiyaHiya 2mm dpns. I'm glad for the sharper tip (but not super-sharp), its helpful for the two-colour cast on, among other things!

The Yarn bowl is from *Natural Knot Wood, and I've been singing the praises of it since I got it. Sadly, Wayne of Natural Knot Wood passed away in July, so the shop will only remain open long enough to deplete the remaining stock. It's a loss to the fiber community, as his yarn bowls and spindles really were something special.

And I think that's it for this week's WIP Wed, and thanks for reading along! I've been working on these a lot over on Twitch, and I'm hoping to have them done soon!

As always, I'd love to see what you're working on -- please, feel free to post links to your projects in the comments, so I can see all the amazing things. Also, if you're working on one of my patterns, tag it as #sarahdawnsdesigns so I can find you on Social Media!
