Yarn is *Northbound Knitting Merino/Silk Fingering, in "Ethereal", and I love this yarn! It creates a warm hat that's not a super-thick hat, which works well in this week's cold weather!
Well, thanks for reading along on my quest to finish up more WIPs! What projects have you finished up on this FO Friday? Let me know in the comments below!
Well, I've got more Finished Objects! I already showed this off at the November Toronto Knitter's Guild Show-And-Tell, but now, I can show it off here too!
So, this is the Wrought Mithril Hat! Previously, it was the Vertical Lines Hat, but, after putting the questions to the Pattern Muses on Patreon, I've changed the name to the Wrought Mithril Hat. I originally was thinking that I could call this the Wrought Iron Hat, because the inspiration was from the lines of wrought iron fences and stained glass, but there's lots of patterns named on the theme of wrought iron, so I decided to change this the Wrought Mithril Hat, instead! (And please forgive my questionable selfie skills, as always, but haven't done a proper photo shoot of this yet!)
It was knit on my 3.25 Aero double pointed needles, which worked out for the most part, though I had to add elastics to keep the stitches from falling off the ends of the needles, until I got to the crown decreases.
I'm thrilled to have this done, and I was doing some drafting of the final pattern over on my Twitch Stream, so I'm hoping to have this pattern live for a December test-knit call. So stay tuned here (or on the various social medias) for the test knit call!
