Well, I've finished up a few more FOs, one of them being the Crochet Hood and Scarf! I've had this finished for some time, it just needed ends woven in and blocking, which I finally did this morning! (And yes, I know, it needs a better name!)
But, I was right, blocking got rid of the 'Pointy Hood Syndrome' (you can see it before it was blocked on my Twitch Stream) It's caused by how this style of hood is constructed -- you just fold it in half and seam it, but that causes a point to form at the top of the seam. Blocking got rid of that, which was nice!
Yarn is one of the January *Exclusive Colourways from *EatSleepKnit -- "Sea Witch" on *Blue Moon Fiber Arts Silky Targhee. It's a wonderful yarn to work with -- I was worried about how it would pool, but the pooling's actually worked in my favour! It's a single, which means that it's quite warm, but it will pill easily (one downside). That, and the skeins of Silky Targhee are absolutely huge -- this used just about half of one skein! And, for those who still want some of the 'Sea Witch' colourway, at the time of this writing it's *still available on the "Featherlight" base.
The hook I used is a 3.75 mm (US F) hook from Turn of the Century. I absolutely love these hooks -- I can't say enough awesome things about them! I find they work far better for me then the metal Aero hooks I was using before!

I'm hoping to have this up for testing soon, hopefully for the end of October or early November. So stay tuned for the test-knit call here on the Blog, or on Ravelry!
Well, thanks for reading along on my quest to finish up more WIPs! What projects have you finished up on this FO Friday? Let me know in the comments below!
